The South Pender Local Trust Committee discussed moving its first April community information meeting to Sunday, April 7, to give residents more time to consider the discussion and submit comments. The minutes record the proposed meeting topics as height, water storage and other regulations, with house size and setbacks for the second meeting.[1]
The minutes say the committee discussed holding the first meeting on a weekend so more community members could attend. Staff were to check the date and venue availability; both meetings were planned for the Anglican Church.[1]
Comments received by April 26 were to be included in a staff report for the May committee meeting, with language for referring the material to the Advisory Planning Commission. The minutes say later correspondence could still be sent to the committee and would be available to the commission, but would not be part of the staff analysis.[1]
The minutes also record a staff update that a report on short-term vacation rentals would be provided at the May committee meeting.[1]
