The public hearing on proposed bylaws 122 and 123 was postponed to a later date after the South Pender Local Trust Committee voted to delay it; Trustee Cameron Thorn opposed the motion.[1]

The minutes record that members of the public raised concerns about the venue being too small and said some people had not attended because of concerns about COVID. The meeting was being recorded but not streamed because there was no internet connectivity.[1]

The transcript records Chair Peter Luckham asking whether the committee should adjourn and reschedule in a more suitable place. Trustee Steve Wright supported holding another meeting at a different venue, while Trustee Thorn said he would prefer to find a way to continue.[2]

The minutes say the committee later discussed proposed amendments to bylaw 122, including changes to floor-area limits, rainwater storage requirements and limits on guests and bedrooms. The committee gave the bylaw first reading as amended and asked staff to find venues and schedule community information meetings and a public hearing on bylaws 122 and 123.[1]
