The South Pender Local Trust Committee chose a single table for draft Bylaw 122’s floor-area rules, with clauses to recognize homes built before the new bylaw, and gave the amended draft first reading on March 4, 2022.[1]

The committee also directed staff to schedule a community information meeting and public hearing for the proposed bylaw; Chair Laura Patrick said the information meeting would be held May 6, followed by a public hearing.[1]

The adopted minutes say the committee selected the table on page 15 showing four land-use categories in the right-hand column of the staff report.[1]

The bylaw project also covers setbacks, agricultural land use, shipping containers and other amendments, according to planner Kim Stockdill’s presentation at the meeting.[1] The minutes record a separate amendment to include a cottage as a new building under the groundwater protection regulation.[1]
